CONNECT
One of the best ways to get connected with our community at Christ Church is to join one of our ministries in the church. There are a number of ways you can serve, according to your interests and gifts, and we invite you to try one or all of them and see which is the right fit is for you. We celebrate the ministry of the baptized and trust that God has gifted each one of us as a minister of the church.

Children's Ministry
We offer Sunday School for children on Sunday mornings during the church service, and appreciate the love our teachers share with them each week. You can enjoy the blessings children bring by sharing lessons, crafts, music and activities with them.

Altar Guild
Our altar guild volunteers prepare for our common worship by weekly preparation of the sanctuary and altar, responsible for preparing the communion elements, flowers, and other necessities. Guild members also include skilled seamstresses who create and maintain our beautiful linens.

Worship Leaders
Our worship leaders serve as either as the primary leader of worship during Morning Prayer, or in concert with a supply priest when we have visiting clergy. In addition to Scripture, our worship leaders spend time organizing services from the Book of Common Prayer.

Communications
Our communications ministers provide an important lifeline between our congregation and the community, maintaining our website and updating our social media feeds. And if you would like to learn to use the technology of our sound system, we are glad for you to serve as a sound technician.

Faith Formation
We gather at 8:30am on Sunday mornings for inquiry and discussion of the lectionary readings from Scripture each week. We also occasionally read and study from other literature and resources. We hope you’ll join us, all are welcome.

Ushers and Greeters
Our greeters are often the first person encountered at Christ Church. Your friendly smile and kind welcome are a treasured ministry in welcoming all people across the threshold of our sacred space. Greeters also serve as ushers, bringing forward the elements and collecting the gifts of the congregation during the worship service.

Eucharistic Visitors
These volunteers bring the community of the church to those who are unable to be with us in person. Our Eucharistic Visitors administer communion and offer pastoral presence to those who are unable to be with us on Sundays for health and other limiting reasons.

Lay Leadership
We are a lay-led congregation, and our vestry is entrusted with our leadership in spiritual, community, and business matters. Our vestry people are here to listen to your questions, concerns, and ideas. Elected at the annual meeting each year to a three-year term, our vestry consists of five members committed to the vitality of our congregation.

Worship Music
Our worship service includes singing hymns and other songs. We currently enjoy piano accompaniment, and also welcome new musicians - whatever your specialty, we invite you to participate in our worship through music.

Lectors
If you love to read and study Scripture and are comfortable reading aloud in a public setting, you may enjoy being a lector. During the service, lectors read one or more lessons appointed for the day and participate in further readings and prayers during Morning Prayer services.

Hospitality
Weekly celebrations of food and fellowship follow Sunday services at Christ Church, and our hospitality volunteers oversee all of the details, providing food and drink, and cleaning up afterward. Our hospitality ministers are also committed to making sure that provisions are made for funerals, baptisms, weddings, and other special occasions.
